There are 4 versions of Avid Media Composer Media Composer | First (a freeware version), Media Composer, Media Composer | Ultimate, and Media Composer | Enterprise. Avid NewsCutter, aimed at newsrooms, Avid Symphony, aimed at finishing, were all Avid products that were derived from Media Composer and share similar interfacing, as were Avid Xpress Pro (discontinued in 2008) and its predecessor Avid Xpress DV, which were aimed at the lower end of the market. Since the 1990s, Media Composer has been the dominant non-linear editing system in the film and television industry, first on Macintosh and later on Windows. Initially released in 1989 on Macintosh II as an offline editing system, the application has since evolved to allow for both offline and online editing, including uncompressed standard definition (SD), high definition (HD), 2K and 4K editing and finishing. Avid Media Composer is a film and video editing software application or non-linear editing system (NLE) developed by Avid Technology. Hopefully its something simple in the settings and not something that has been removed from this latest update. I have changed HDMI cables, audio plays thru my TRS connections and XLR on the back of the mojo DX, but nothing via HDMI gone thru what I think is all settingsĪny info would be greatly apprciated. I used to be able to have both picture and sound play thru my TV via HDMI if I wanted to hear what it would sound like on a TV, but this latest update of Media composer seems to have truned that off some where,
Picture still looks as good as DNX36 is, but now audio does not come thru the TV via HDMI. I used to be able to turn off my near field montiors and cross reference with my client monitor (Standard Samsung 40 inch TV) Currently running Avid Media Composer 8.8.4 (Just upgraded from 8.3) with a Mac Pro 2.7 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon E5 OS 10.10.5 with a Avid Mojo DX as my I/O Running into a little bit of a snag and I can't seem to find a solution.
